Syncwise worked alongside the electrical contractor to program and commission a lighting control and motion detector system at their new warehouse in Wakerley.
The warehouse size is approximately 12,000 metres and involved 500 lights and over 100 motion sensors.
Use of a micro server control enabled the lighting of the warehouse to be controled via mobile devices.
A daylight harvesting system was implemented to enhance sustainability so that only 50% of the lights are activated when the ambient light levels in the warehouse exceed a predefined threshold. Each row of lights are activated alternatively to ensure an equal lifespan for all fixtures.
The motion sensors will detect the presence of workers and monitor flux levels within the warehouse. These sensors activate the lighting in specific zones where movement is detected.
Depending on the measured flux levels inside the warehouse, the system adjusts the lighting by switching on either half or all the lights.
